Home Screen Widgets for Quick Pass Access

Home Screen widgets show live information from NeatPass without opening the app. View your upcoming event, see barcodes at a glance, or tap to quickly scan new tickets.

Widget Types

Pass Display

Shows your upcoming pass or a specific pass you choose.

Quick Action

One-tap camera icon to scan a new ticket.

Available Sizes

Small (2x2)

Pass name, date, and color. No barcode. Tap opens pass in app.

Medium (4x2)

Full name, date, venue, and scannable barcode.

Large (4x4)

Complete details, location, map preview, and large scannable barcode.

Adding Widgets

Enter edit mode

Long-press on your home screen until icons wiggle.

Open widget gallery

Tap the + button in the top-left corner.

Search NeatPass

Type "NeatPass" in the search bar.

Select widget

Tap Pass Display or Quick Action.

Choose size

Swipe left/right to browse sizes.

Add and position

Tap Add Widget, drag to desired location, tap Done.

Configuring Pass Display

Long-press widget

Long-press the Pass Display widget.

Edit Widget

Tap Edit Widget from the menu.

Choose mode

Select Next Upcoming (automatic) or Specific Pass (manual).

Next Upcoming Mode

Automatically shows your soonest future event. After the event passes, switches to the next upcoming. If no future events exist, shows the most recently passed event.

Specific Pass Mode

Always shows the pass you select. Useful for pinning important events or passes without dates.

Barcode Tips

Scanning tips

Increase screen brightness for best scanning. Larger widget = larger barcode = easier scanning. Tap the widget to open the full-screen barcode in the app if needed.

Troubleshooting

Widget shows 'No Passes'

Open NeatPass and verify passes exist. Wait a few seconds for sync, then check the widget again.

Widget shows wrong pass

Long-press widget → Edit Widget. Check pass dates or switch to Specific Pass mode.

Widget not updating

Open NeatPass to force immediate sync. If still stuck, remove and re-add the widget.

Barcode not scanning

Use Medium or Large widget size. Increase screen brightness. Tap widget to open full-screen barcode in app.

Widget appears blank

Remove the widget (long-press → Remove Widget), open NeatPass, then re-add the widget.

Frequent traveler	Large widget for current boarding pass plus Quick Action for scanning
Event enthusiast	Multiple widgets set to Specific Pass for different upcoming shows
