When you create or edit a Generic pass, you can select a subtype that provides specialized fields for your use case. Hotel, Rental, and Parking subtypes each have tailored edit screens with relevant fields, date pickers, and location search.
Selecting a Subtype
Open or Create a Generic Pass
Create a new Generic pass or open an existing one.
Tap Edit
Tap Edit to open the editing screen.
Find Pass Subtype
Find the "Pass Subtype" picker near the top of the edit form.
Choose a Subtype
Choose from Generic, Hotel, Rental, or Parking. The form updates with fields specific to your choice.
Hotel Reservations
The Hotel subtype is designed for accommodation bookings with check-in/check-out dates, room details, and hotel contact information.
Pass Details
Hotel Name (shown as organizer), Title for the booking, and Guest Name (shown on the pass).
Stay Dates
Check-in and check-out with optional times. Toggle "Include Time" independently for each. Check-out must always be after check-in.
Location
Search for the hotel by name or address. Shows a map marker and enables lock screen notifications when you arrive.
Hotel Details & Contact
Room Number, Room Type, Rate, and Confirmation Number. Plus email (validated), website, and phone for the hotel.
Hotel passes create separate check-in and check-out calendar events when exported.
Car Rentals
The Rental subtype handles vehicle bookings with separate pickup and return locations, perfect for one-way rentals. Both locations appear on an interactive route map.
Pass Details
Rental Company (shown as organizer), Title for the booking, and Renter Name (shown on the pass).
Pickup & Return
Pickup and return dates with optional times. Same date constraints as hotel; return must be after pickup.
Locations
Separate pickup and return locations. Perfect for one-way rentals like picking up at the airport and returning downtown. Both enable lock screen notifications.
Rental Details & Contact
Vehicle description, Rate, and Confirmation Number. Plus email (validated), website, and phone for the rental company.
Parking Passes
The Parking subtype tracks where you parked with entry/exit times, zone information, and a map to help you find your car.
Pass Details
Facility Name (shown as organizer), Title, and your Name.
Entry & Exit
Entry and exit dates with optional times. Same date constraints as hotel and rental.
Location
Single location for the parking facility. Shows a map marker and triggers lock screen notification when you return to your car.
Parking Details & Contact
Parking Zone, License Plate, Price, and Confirmation Number. Plus email (validated), website, and phone.
