What Does "Device Too Old" Mean?

The device too old error has been replaced with fallback options

1 min read

The "device too old" error message has been replaced. Older or lower-memory devices now see the "Insufficient Memory" warning instead, which offers fallback options for creating passes.

What Changed

Instead of blocking pass creation on older devices, NeatPass now adapts to your device's capabilities. If the full AI model can't run, you'll be offered two lighter alternatives:

Heuristic Extraction

A lighter extraction method that doesn't need the full ML model. Less accurate, but can still pull basic ticket information.

Create Empty Pass

Skip extraction entirely and fill in pass details manually. You can still scan a barcode using the camera.

Updated Guide
