SNCF Connect Ticket Apple Wallet: France Guide 2026

Add SNCF Connect tickets to Apple Wallet. Which trains are eligible (TGV INOUI, TER, Eurostar), what about OUIGO, and a NeatPass workaround for the rest.

SNCF Connect ships an Apple Wallet integration, but only for some of the trains it sells. The button is right there on the ticket detail page for TGV INOUI, eligible TER, and Eurostar. For OUIGO and most international combinations, it never appears.

Here is how the SNCF Connect Apple Wallet flow really works in 2026, which French train tickets land on the Lock Screen, and what to do for the ones that arrive as a PDF instead.

How SNCF Connect Adds Tickets to Apple Wallet

SNCF Connect exposes an Add to Apple Wallet button in three places: the payment confirmation page, the travel details page, and the ticket details page. Tap it once and the e-ticket QR code lands in Apple Wallet without reopening the app.

On travel day, the pass surfaces on the iPhone Lock Screen near departure and stays there for the journey. The conductor scans the QR on the Wallet pass directly, no need to launch SNCF Connect on the train.

Adding an SNCF Connect ticket to Wallet

1

Open SNCF Connect and book the ticket

Pick an eligible connection (for example TGV INOUI, eligible TER, or Eurostar), choose the fare SNCF Connect offers for that train, pay, and confirm. The booking lands in My Trips a few seconds later.
2

Open the journey in My Trips

Tap the trip card to open the travel details. For multi-leg routes, each leg has its own ticket detail page, and each eligible leg gets its own Wallet button.
3

Tap Add to Apple Wallet

On the ticket details page, the Add to Apple Wallet button sits next to the QR code. Confirm the preview Apple shows and tap Add.
4

Pin to the Lock Screen for the trip

On the day of travel, the pass surfaces automatically on the Lock Screen. A double-click of the side button pulls it up directly when the conductor walks through the carriage.

Which SNCF Connect Tickets Work in Apple Wallet

Not every train sold through SNCF Connect is eligible for the Wallet button. Here is the current breakdown by service.

TGV INOUI

TGV INOUI is the headline service for the SNCF Connect Wallet integration. Eligible TGV INOUI e-tickets get the Add to Apple Wallet button on the ticket detail page. The QR code on the Wallet pass is what conductors scan on the train.

TER (Regional)

Eligible TER tickets get the Wallet button. SNCF Connect does not publish a region-by-region list, so the rule of thumb is: if the button shows up on the ticket detail page, the ticket is eligible. Many regional products tied to a specific subscription card or local scheme do not get it, and stay inside the SNCF Connect app.

Eurostar

Eurostar e-tickets bought through SNCF Connect can be added to Apple Wallet when SNCF Connect marks the ticket eligible. The QR code on the Wallet pass is what gate scanners read at Gare du Nord, St Pancras, Brussels-Midi, or Amsterdam Centraal. Check the boarding cutoff printed for the station and route, because Eurostar deadlines vary by passenger type and station.

OUIGO

OUIGO is excluded from the SNCF Connect Wallet integration. The same exclusion applies to the Google Wallet flow, so this is not an iOS-only restriction. OUIGO tickets stay inside the SNCF Connect app or arrive in the confirmation email as a PDF that Apple Wallet does not open natively.

Intercités, group bookings, and partner tickets

Tickets for Intercités, group bookings, certain regional Lio or BreizhGo passes, and combined tickets with operators like Renfe or Trenitalia often arrive without an Add to Apple Wallet button. SNCF Connect's official Wallet documentation only names TGV INOUI, eligible TER, and Eurostar, so anything outside that list is best treated as a PDF.

When the SNCF Connect Ticket Is a PDF

OUIGO confirmations, group bookings, certain regional products, and combined cross-border tickets typically come as a PDF in the confirmation email. Apple Wallet does not open PDFs natively, so the file ends up in Mail or Files, not on the Lock Screen.

On a Friday evening at Gare de Lyon, that means launching Mail, finding the right email, scrolling to the attachment, and waiting for the PDF to render. The train leaves before the QR code does.

When NeatPass Helps With an SNCF Connect Ticket

NeatPass creates Apple Wallet passes from supported barcodes. For SNCF Connect, that fills the gaps where the official app skips Wallet: OUIGO PDFs, Intercités confirmations, group bookings, and the partner tickets that come without a Wallet button.

Where NeatPass fits

  • PDF or screenshot tickets: An OUIGO PDF or an Intercités confirmation can be turned into a Wallet pass with the QR code intact, so the QR code keeps working offline
  • Custom design: Pick a color that stands out in the Wallet stack so an SNCF ticket is recognizable at a glance
  • Original PDF kept on file: NeatPass keeps the source document alongside the pass, so the booking confirmation is never more than a tap away

Where it does not help

  • Tickets with rotating barcodes: If a Wallet ticket inside SNCF Connect uses a code that rotates while travelling, a screenshot-based pass will not refresh. For those, use the SNCF Connect Wallet button when it is offered.
  • Eurail or Interrail mobile passes: These run inside their own apps with timed activation, not as static QR codes. Keep the dedicated app for the journey.

Adding an SNCF Connect ticket to Wallet via NeatPass

1

Open the PDF or screenshot the QR code

From the SNCF Connect confirmation email, the OUIGO PDF, or the in-app ticket view, get the QR fully on screen. A clean screenshot with padding around the code reads best.
2

Import into NeatPass

Open NeatPass, tap the plus button, and select the PDF or screenshot. The share extension also works directly from Mail or Files.
3

On-device AI fills in the details

The iPhone's neural engine reads the QR code and extracts the route, validity, and ticket type. No server is involved for that step: the privacy FAQ covers exactly what leaves the device.
4

Name and style the pass

Rename it "Paris-Lyon TGV" or similar and pick colors that stand out at a glance: see the pass customization options.
5

Save to Apple Wallet

Tap Add to Wallet. Pair with a Wallet widget on the Lock Screen so the QR is one glance away when the conductor arrives.

Works through TGV tunnels and rural France

Apple Wallet keeps the QR code available without a connection. How offline mode works is a short read if the worry is patchy 4G between cities. Tickets that depend on a live SNCF Connect session do not behave the same way.

Your SNCF Ticket in Wallet

SNCF Connect's Wallet integration covers the trains most travellers actually take across France: TGV INOUI for the spine of the network, eligible TER for regional hops, and Eurostar for cross-Channel runs. Tap the button on the ticket detail page and the QR code is on the Lock Screen for travel day.

For OUIGO, Intercités, group bookings, and partner tickets that come as PDFs, NeatPass turns the QR code into a Wallet pass that lives next to the rest. Either way, the right place for a French train ticket is the Lock Screen, not three taps deep in an app.
