Lock Screen widgets display information at a glance without unlocking your device. NeatPass widgets show your upcoming events and provide quick access to scanning.

Available Widgets

Pass Display (Rectangular)

Shows pass name, event date, time, and color accent. Placed above the time.

Quick Action (Circular)

Camera icon for one-tap scanning. Placed below the time.

Adding Widgets

Wake and long-press

Wake your iPhone and long-press the lock screen until "Customize" appears.

Customize

Tap Customize, then select Lock Screen.

Tap widget area

Tap above the time (for rectangular) or below the time (for circular).

Add NeatPass

Search "NeatPass" and select Pass Display or Quick Action.

Save

Tap Done and choose the lock screen as active.

Glanceable Info

Lock Screen widgets are designed for quick information without unlocking:

  • Event name, date, and time are always visible
  • Venue is truncated if too long
  • No barcodes displayed (screen too small)
  • Tap to open full pass in app (requires authentication)

Always-On Display

On iPhone Pro models (14 Pro and newer), Lock Screen widgets remain visible when the screen dims in Always-On Display mode.

Configuring Pass Display

Long-press lock screen

Long-press to enter customization mode.

Tap Customize

Select Customize → Lock Screen.

Tap the widget

Tap the Pass Display widget to configure.

Choose mode

Select Next Upcoming (automatic) or Specific Pass (manual).

Focus Modes

iOS Focus modes can use different lock screens. Create separate lock screens with different NeatPass widgets for Work, Personal, or Travel modes.

Troubleshooting

Widget not showing pass

Open NeatPass to sync, then lock and wake your device. Check that passes exist in your library.

Widget shows wrong pass

Configure the widget to use Specific Pass mode and select the correct pass.

Can't find NeatPass in widget gallery

Verify NeatPass is installed. Try restarting your device.

Tap doesn't open app

Ensure Face ID/Touch ID is set up. Try tapping again or unlock your device first.

Widget area not editable

Long-press the wallpaper area (not an icon), wait for Customize button, then tap it.
