"AI processing failed. Close other apps and try again." appears when the on-device AI encounters an error during extraction.
NeatPass uses Apple's MLX framework, which runs AI computations on your iPhone's GPU. GPU operations can fail for several reasons.
Common Causes
App was backgrounded
iOS immediately stops GPU operations when apps go to background
Memory pressure
Low memory can cause GPU errors
iOS bugs
Some iOS versions have Metal framework issues
Device overheating
Thermal throttling can interrupt GPU operations

Free up memory for the AI model by closing background apps.

Don't switch apps during processing, iOS will stop GPU operations.
