Creating Your First Pass

A step-by-step guide to converting your first ticket or card into an Apple Wallet pass using NeatPass.

1 min read

This guide walks you through creating your first Apple Wallet pass from a PDF or screenshot. The whole process takes under a minute.

Before You Start

iPhone with iOS 18.1 or later
A PDF or screenshot with a scannable barcode
NeatPass installed from the App Store

Use PDFs when possible

PDFs have higher quality barcodes than screenshots, which means more reliable detection.

Creating Your Pass

1

Select your document

Open NeatPass and tap to add a new pass. Choose a PDF from Files, an image from Photos, or take a screenshot directly. You can also share directly from other apps.

2

Wait for processing

NeatPass extracts the barcode and relevant details using on-device AI. This takes about 20 seconds.

3

Review and customize

Check the extracted information. You can edit fields, change colors and design, and add notes before saving.

4

Add to Wallet

Tap "Add to Wallet" to save your pass. It's now accessible in Apple Wallet, even offline.

Done!

Your pass will appear in Apple Wallet and on your Lock Screen when relevant, like when you arrive at a venue.
