EVA Air already supports a native way to put an eligible boarding pass in Apple Wallet. The EVA AIR app says that, after check-in, you can save the pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

That native pass should be your first choice. It is issued from the airline's check-in flow and carries the booking and passenger data that EVA Air has accepted. The important part is checking whether your flight and passenger profile are eligible before you rely on a phone-only pass.

Use EVA Air's official Wallet flow first

The cleanest route starts in the EVA AIR app. Have your booking reference, ticket details, passport and any required visa information ready, then complete check-in before trying to add the pass. For eligible international flights, the app's mobile check-in window runs from 48 hours to 1 hour before departure.

1

Open the EVA AIR app

Open your booking in the official EVA AIR app. The app supports trip management, check-in and the boarding pass flow on iPhone.
2

Complete check-in and document checks

Enter the requested passenger and travel-document details. EVA Air's online check-in guidance covers confirmed, ticketed passengers on eligible international flights operated by EVA Air or UNI Air.
3

Save the pass to Apple Wallet

When the checked-in boarding pass offers the Wallet action, choose Apple Wallet and confirm Add. If the button is not shown, keep using the EVA AIR app or follow the airport check-in instructions instead of creating a replacement pass.
4

Check every segment

Review the operating carrier, passenger name, flight number and destination. EVA Air says codeshare eligibility depends on the partner and whether EVA operates the flight or first sector; other codeshares and charter flights are currently not eligible.

A missing button is an eligibility signal

Do not treat a missing Add to Apple Wallet button as a broken Wallet installation. It can mean that the operating carrier, route, airport or passenger needs a different check-in path. Keep the EVA AIR app, a printed pass or the airport-issued pass available until the airline confirms your documents.

Where EVA Air's rules still apply

Apple Wallet stores the pass, but it does not change EVA Air's check-in, immigration or baggage rules. These boundaries matter most on international itineraries.

EVA Air or UNI Air operation

EVA Air lists international flights operated by EVA Air and UNI Air as eligible for online check-in. Its FAQ also allows some codeshares when EVA operates the flight or first sector; other codeshares and charter flights are currently not eligible.

Confirmed ticket and documents

Online check-in is for ticketed passengers with confirmed bookings. Passport, visa and other travel-document checks can still require airport assistance.

Counter by one hour when needed

If you cannot obtain an online boarding pass or need to check bags, go to the EVA Air counter and complete those steps at least one hour before departure. Airport-specific cutoffs can be earlier.

Gate inspection by 30 minutes

If you already hold an electronic boarding pass and have no checked bags, EVA Air says to reach the gate for document inspection at least 30 minutes before departure. Local airport instructions can differ.

Special cases may need the counter

Infants, passengers needing special assistance, unconfirmed or unticketed bookings, and bookings with fare differences or schedule changes may be outside the app check-in flow.

Keep the airline pass for travel, NeatPass for static documents

NeatPass can organise a stable barcode or travel document when an airline sends a file that is awkward to find. For an EVA Air boarding pass, use the airline-issued pass for travel because EVA Air's own flow establishes Wallet and check-in eligibility. Its issuer-provided e-boarding pass can appear on the lock screen near the airport and receive boarding-gate or boarding-time change notifications; a NeatPass copy stays static.

Organise an EVA Air travel document

NeatPass makes it easy to convert any ticket, pass, or loyalty card to Apple Wallet.

Native EVA Air pass
  • Issued after the airline's own check-in flow
  • Uses the passenger and itinerary data accepted by EVA Air
  • The right reference for airline and airport acceptance
  • Can receive EVA-issued gate or boarding-time change notifications in Wallet
NeatPass convenience copy
  • Useful for keeping a received static barcode or document organised
  • Keeps a copy ready while EVA Air handles check-in and travel-document verification
  • The airline-issued or printed pass remains the acceptance reference for travel
  • Issuer notifications and live gate or boarding-time information stay with the EVA Air pass

To keep a static document organised, use the NeatPass import methods to bring it into the app, then use view-original guide to keep the source document beside any personal copy.

A practical EVA Air airport checklist

Use this short checklist on the day of travel. It keeps the convenience of Wallet separate from the steps that only EVA Air or the airport can complete.

1

Before leaving

Open the EVA AIR app, confirm the flight is operated by EVA Air or UNI Air, complete check-in and add the offered pass to Wallet. Recheck the name, flight number and destination.
2

At the airport

If you cannot obtain the online boarding pass or need to check bags, go to the EVA Air counter by at least one hour before departure. If you already hold an electronic pass and have no checked bags, reach the gate for document inspection by at least 30 minutes, subject to the airport's local instructions.
3

If Wallet is unavailable

Open the EVA AIR app or use an airport kiosk or counter. A printed or airport-issued boarding pass is the safe fallback when a route, airport or passenger case does not support the native Wallet flow.
4

After a booking change

Return to EVA Air's own booking and check-in flow. Verify that the pass reflects the current itinerary before presenting it, and follow staff instructions if a new pass is issued.

Keep the source pass available

Wallet is a convenient presentation layer, not a substitute for a passport, visa, baggage receipt or airline decision. Keep the official app and your travel documents ready until the journey is complete.

Use Wallet when EVA Air offers it

For an eligible EVA Air or UNI Air itinerary, the airline's own check-in flow is the dependable way to get a boarding pass into Apple Wallet. Keep the app, documents and airport fallback ready for codeshares, charters, special passenger cases and route-specific rules.

For the wider rules, read the boarding pass Apple Wallet guide. If you are comparing newer Wallet features, see the iOS 26 airline tracking guide.
