The share extension is the fastest way to import. Just tap Share on any PDF and select NeatPass, no extra steps needed. See our detailed share extension guide.

Method 1: Share Extension

This is the easiest way to import tickets directly from Mail, Safari, Files, or any other app.

1

Open your ticket

Find your PDF ticket in Mail, Safari, Files, or any app that handles documents.

2

Tap the Share button

Look for the share icon (square with an arrow pointing up) and tap it.

3

Select NeatPass

Scroll through the share sheet and tap NeatPass. Processing starts automatically.

Method 2: In-App File Picker

Browse your files and select PDFs directly from within NeatPass.

1

Tap the + button

Open NeatPass and tap the plus button in the toolbar.

2

Choose 'Select File'

Select the file picker option from the menu.

3

Navigate to your PDF

Browse through iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or other locations to find your ticket.

Method 3: Camera

Perfect for physical tickets, printed confirmations, or documents you can't access digitally.

1

Tap + -> Take Photo

Open the add menu and select the camera option.

2

Position the ticket

Hold your phone steady and frame the ticket so the barcode and text are clearly visible.

3

Capture

Take the photo. Good lighting makes a big difference for barcode detection.

Camera tips

Avoid shadows and glare. Make sure the entire barcode is in frame with some margin around it. Natural, even lighting works best.

Method 4: Photo Library

Use screenshots or photos you've already taken.

1

Tap + -> Choose Photo

Open the add menu and select the photo library option.

2

Select your image

Browse your photo library and tap the screenshot or photo of your ticket.

Method 5: Create Empty Pass

Don't have a document to import? You can create a pass from scratch and fill in all the details yourself.

1

Tap the + button

Open NeatPass and tap the plus button in the toolbar.

2

Choose 'Create Empty'

Select the create empty option from the menu.

3

Fill in the details

Enter the pass title, date, location, barcode value, and any other information you need.

Importing Multiple Files

When you share multiple PDFs or images via the share extension, NeatPass asks how you'd like to handle them:

Process as Group, Creates linked passes for the same event (e.g., multiple seats)
Process Separately, Creates individual, unrelated passes for each file

Group tickets together

If you're importing tickets for the same concert or flight but different people, choose "Process as Group" to keep them organized together.

File Picker limitation

When using the in-app file picker, multiple files are always processed separately. Use the share extension if you need to group tickets.

For more details on bulk imports, see our bulk processing guide.

Next Steps

Once your ticket is imported, you can edit the details, customize the design, or add it to Apple Wallet.
