How to Report a Bug

Step-by-step guide to reporting bugs using the in-app bug reporter

1 min read

Found a bug? The fastest way to report it is through NeatPass's built-in bug reporter. It automatically collects device information and logs so issues can be resolved faster.

How to Report

1

Open Settings

Tap the gear icon to open NeatPass Settings.

2

Tap Report Bug

In the Support section, tap "Report Bug".

3

Fill in the details

Add a title, description, and optionally select a category and severity. Include steps to reproduce the issue and your email for follow-up.

4

Attach documents (optional)

Toggle "Include Session Documents" if the issue involves extraction. All barcodes are automatically redacted on your device before upload.

5

Submit

Tap Submit. You'll receive a reference ID (like NP-ABC123) - tap to copy it for tracking.

What Gets Collected

The bug report includes your device model, iOS version, NeatPass version, and recent logs. No ticket data or personal information is included. For full details, see how bug reports work.

After Submitting

Your reference ID (e.g. NP-ABC123) confirms the report was received. Tap it to copy. I review reports regularly and will follow up via email if you provided one.

Tips for Helpful Reports

Describe what you expected to happen vs what actually happened
Include specific steps to reproduce the issue
Attach the problematic document if relevant - barcodes are automatically redacted
Note which screen or feature you were using
