A membership-card image becoming a green pass beside an entrance

A membership card stored as a screenshot is useful until you have to search for it at every visit. Moving the barcode to Apple Wallet gives your gym, club, or library card a place that is easy to reach.

Check whether the provider already offers Add to Apple Wallet. If it does not, NeatPass can read a membership barcode from a screenshot and create a pass with the same barcode data.

Turn the membership screenshot into a useful pass

NeatPass reads the supported barcode and card details from the image, then builds a Wallet pass you can review and personalize. The pass can carry a recognizable title and the membership information you need at check-in, so you do not have to zoom into the original screenshot on every visit.

For a gym card, use the gym name and branch if you visit more than one. For a library or club, include a useful member name or card detail to distinguish it from your other passes. In NeatPass you can change the colors and design as well as the text, making several memberships easier to find at a glance.

Choose a clear membership screenshot

Capture the whole barcode with a little space around the edges. Keep the member name or card number visible where useful, then check the supported barcode formats. A photo of a printed barcode can also be imported.

For cards with a barcode that stays the same

If your membership app uses a changing QR code or the entrance requires a contactless key, use the provider’s access method. For a regular membership barcode, you can continue with the screenshot.

Add your membership card to Wallet

1

Import the image

Open NeatPass and select the screenshot from your photo library, or share it from Photos to NeatPass.
2

Review the card

Check the detected barcode and member details. Name the pass after the gym, club, or library so it is easy to find.
3

Add to Apple Wallet

Review the preview and confirm Add to Wallet. Finish this while connected to the internet; the saved pass can then be displayed offline.

The import methods guide covers screenshots and photos. Use the Share Extension to send a card from another app, then follow adding to Wallet.

Ready for your next visit

Open your card in Wallet and show the barcode at check-in. NeatPass preserves the data from your screenshot, so a compatible scanner reads the same membership value. A clear name and custom design help distinguish it from your other cards.

The screenshot is processed on your iPhone, and the original stays with the pass. Open it through View Original if you need other card details. Learn more in the privacy FAQ.

Prepare the pass for your first visit

Open the saved Wallet pass before you get to the entrance and compare its membership details with the source. At a barcode reader, present the full code on the screen. If the venue normally checks a name or photo as well, keep the original membership document available for that part of check-in.

If NeatPass misses the barcode, try the original screenshot or a sharper photo with even lighting. Include the full code and the empty margin around it. Some cards have a barcode on the reverse, so photograph that side too if the front only shows the membership number.
