An airport security timeslot can shorten the wait for a reserved queue, but the confirmation is easy to lose among travel emails and screenshots. If the airport issues a fixed QR code, a Wallet pass can keep that code close to the boarding pass.
The reservation is only queue access. It does not replace your boarding pass, identity documents, security screening, or the airport's current entry rules. Some airports use a separate QR code, some scan the boarding pass, and some have ended their timeslot program entirely.

The current official flows differ enough that an old screenshot or a generic airport guide can send you to the wrong place:
Schiphol Timeslots
Schiphol issues a QR code for a 15-minute arrival window. A booking can cover a group of up to 10 people and opens three days before departure.
Stuttgart Smart Lane
Stuttgart requires your boarding pass at the Smart Lane entrance for the selected 15-minute slot. The booking is checked automatically. Treat a separate QR code as available only if the current booking explicitly supplies one.
Manchester Timeslot
Manchester accepts the timeslot QR code on a phone or printout at the security access gate. Keep your boarding pass ready because airport staff may ask you to scan it too. TimeSlot bookings are available up to 60 days before departure and until 75 minutes before the scheduled flight, subject to availability.
Frankfurt FRA SmartWay
Frankfurt now uses the boarding pass to identify the SmartWay reservation. There is no separate timeslot QR code to convert.
BER Runway
Berlin Brandenburg ended BER Runway on May 26, 2026. A previous Runway confirmation should not be treated as a current airport service.

What to have ready at security
Arrive within the window stated by the airport and open the official confirmation if staff ask for it. Present the timeslot QR code only at the reserved-queue checkpoint, then use the boarding pass and required identity documents for the rest of the airport process. A Wallet copy remains the same static barcode, while the airport controls whether the reservation is current.
